This is Amber the owl. She is an Indian Eagle owl and has been born and bred in captivity.
She lives in the grounds of Nidd Hall Hotel, near to Harrogate.
She was born on April 2nd 2007
These are owl pellets containing the parts of the owl’s food which it couldn’t digest.
We soaked the pellets in warm water.
We separated out the contents of the pellets.
We spread the separated pellets out onto a paper towel to dry.We picked the bones out.
These bones and pieces of fur are what we found in the pellets.
Form III enjoyed learning all about Eagle Owls. This is a display showing what they covered.
