Middle IV visit Bradford Industrial Museum
On Tuesday 17th November, 2009. Middle IV, dressed as poor Victorian children, visited Bradford Industrial Museum, and, as always, it was an exciting and rewarding experience.
The morning was spent in Moorside Board School, with the children experiencing life in a classroom as it would have been around 1885. Real Victorian children would then have gone to work for about eight hours in the nearby woollen mill.
After lunch, the party looked around the workers’ back to back cottages and the more luxurious home of the mill owner.
As the weather was kind to us this year, we were able to end our visit with a short horse-drawn tram ride over the cobbled roads around the museum.
