Nursery’s Maze Challenge
Nursery took part in the Maze Challenge. We are raising money for the Tanzanian Orphans, Ravenscliffe School and the Crossley Heath Sports Hall.
It took us a little while to think about how to get to the middle of the maze
but WE DID!!!!

Sports Day fun
On June 15th, the whole school took part in Sports Day. The children started the afternoon by demonstrating The Gleddings’ annual dance choreographed by Mrs McHugh and Miss Angela. The weather was kind to us and everyone enjoyed the fun races. Even the parents and younger siblings had a chance to compete.
At the end of the afternoon the parents joined their children for a repeat of the dance on the all weather pitch before enjoying well deserved ice lollies, cakes and drinks.

Warburtons visit Upper IV
On Friday 11th June 2010, Warburtons visited our school, sharing their knowledge of bread making and nutrition with students in Upper IV.
This was a practical, hands on, informative and educational learning experience. It provided the children with lots of fun, along with a detailed history of the Warburtons’ story from 1870 when it all began in a small grocery shop in Bolton.

Musical success in MIV
This little girl played her ABRSM Grade One violin examination piece ‘Toddle-Pip’. This up-tempo piece requires her to produce different sound effects by plucking her strings (pizzicato) and playing with her bow.
She also played the short piano piece ‘Get Away‘ in different octaves to create different atmospheres.
