Knowing that children are getting the best of care and the best of education gives parents the peace of mind they need to fulfill the enormous demands of their work. In our efforts to make life easier for busy mums and dads we offer a full day nursery education with optional extended care provided by our early and late school clubs from 7.15am to 5.45pm (earlier or later by prior arrangement only). Morning only places are also available (with or without lunch) which can then be extended to full day sessions as required. This first year of the Foundation Stage of Learning is extremely important in preparing children for future learning throughout main school. To ensure that all our children receive and benefit from the full Nursery curriculum, the educational programme during this year is therefore based on at least 5 mornings attendance. Enrolment at The Gleddings Parents are warmly invited to visit us at The Gleddings (with or without their children), by appointment. We will be happy to show you around school and you will have the opportunity to meet the children, talk to the staff, and discuss your child's educational needs.
In many instances children's places are reserved at birth, or even earlier, so it is never too early to contact us if you are interested in viewing the school. We are very grateful that our school enjoys a full roll. However, families occasionally move from the area so please do not hesitate to get in touch if you wish to enquire about places for Nursery or any other year group. Starting at The Gleddings Children generally join our nursery in the September after their third birthday. Parents are always most welcome to come and spend time in nursery with their child prior to them starting at the beginning of the academic year.
NEW PARENTS WELCOME EVENINGBefore joining the school, new parents are invited to attend a Parent's Information Evening. Here they are able to meet other new parents and find out more about life in the Nursery. It is an ideal time to speak to Nursery staff and provides a further opportunity to ask questions. These evenings usually take place in June.
