Pre Prep children were delighted when Farmer Adam arrived in their classroom with ten brown eggs.
The children learnt that the eggs were in a special box called an incubator and were fascinated to learn that the eggs were going to change.
After only three days they were able to witness cracking of the eggs followed by newly hatched chicks.
The children were amazed to see how quickly the chicks grew.
Learning how to care for the ten fluffy, yellow chicks was a valuable learning experience for the children in Pre Prep. A little boy in Pre Prep has now taken the chicks to live in his garden and all the children look forward to hearing more about how much they change over the forthcoming weeks.
